Visiting Central Vietnam and considering a Ba Na Hills tour from Da Nang or Hoi An? Great choice, as it’s easily one of the best tourist spots around.
There are plenty of activities to keep you busy here – From walking on the Golden Bridge to exploring the amusement park with roller coasters to the French village, you’re in for a treat. And taking a Ba Na Hills tour is what you need to make the most of it.
Of course, there’s much more to know about going, and I’m here to tell you everything about it. I visited the complex twice and had a great time during both!
In this guide, I’ll go through everything you need to know before booking your Ba Na Hills tour, such as getting there, the entrance fee and cable car price, how long to spend there, and more.

ToggleBa Na Hills Tour – Overview
Before going through the things to do at the complex, let’s discuss the essentials you should know before going, such as the location, how to get there, the price for a tour, and more.
Where are the Ba Na Hills?
The Ba Na Hills are a mountain range located in central Vietnam, about 25km west of the city of Da Nang. It takes about 30 minutes to get there by car or 45 minutes by motorbike.
How to Get to the Ba Na Hills?
Despite the distance, getting to the Ba Na Hills is straightforward and you have different options available. You can drive there if you have a car or call a Grab taxi.
However, the best way to visit is by joining a day tour. Not only is it relatively inexpensive, given that it includes the cable car, the entrance fee, and transportation.

- Fun and convenient way to visit
- Countless reviews for a fun day out
Includes
- Ba Na Hills entrance tickets

Ba Na Hills Tour Cost from Da Nang
There are several options available, which I discuss here below. Also, I’ll list the prices in US Dollars, as opposed to Vietnamese Dong, as you have the option to pay in USD (and other currencies) on Klook, which is where you get the official tickets.
Entrance Fee Only | US$36 per person |
Ticket + Shuttle Bus from Da Nang | US$44 per person |
Ticket + Buffet Lunch | US$49 per person |
Ticket + Buffet Lunch + Shuttle Bus from Da Nang | US$58 per person |
Ba Na HillsTicket (15:00 – 22:00) + Buffet Dinner + Shuttle Bus | US$35 per person |
I personally book the tour with transportation and lunch, and I did not regret it. The car that took us there was modern and spacious (we were 4 people) and lunch was nice with countless options, from western dishes to Asian classics.
Also, there are options, but I don’t necessarily recommend taking a private tour to Bà Nà Hills, as the full-day tour I shared above is enough to make the most of your time at the Chua Mountain.
Ba Na Hills Tour from Hoi An
Unlike the Ba Na Hill tour from Da Nang, the options from Hoi An are a little limited, and this tour is the best you can book. It costs US$72 per person and includes transportation from Hoi An and back, lunch, and a guide to take you around the complex.
Note that the last part, the tour guide, is a priceless asset, as the Ba Na Hills are actually massive and there’s a lot to do – So much that they give you a map to find each place, pretty much like Disneyland or other theme parks.
Ba Na Hills Cable Car Price
The cable car is included in the Ba Na Hills tickets, so you don’t need to buy the ride separately. Also, you can’t really visit the Ba Na Hills without the funicular ride, as all the attractions and theme park are at the summit.
Ba Na Hills Tour Inclusions
I previously recommend the option with transportation and lunch, and this is what you get when you book the Ba Na Hills tour on Klook:
- Ba Na Hills tickets
- Round-trip funicular tickets
- Lunch at Four Season Buffet Restaurant
- Round-trip transfers from the meeting points to Sun World Ba Na Hills
- Admission to: Golden Bridge, Luna Castle, Helios Waterfall, French Village, Le Jardin D’Amour Gardens, Fantasy Park
How Long to Spend at the Ba Na Hills?
Expect to spend the whole day at the Ba Na Hills, so this is a full-day tour on your itinerary for Da Nang, as there’s just so much to do at the theme park.
From wandering through the French Village to taking in the views from the Golden Bridge, it seems that the activities here never end.
Add in the amusement park, gardens, and temples, and you’ll find that a day allows you to experience the highlights without rushing.
Attractions at the Ba Na Hills
Looking for something fun to do in Vietnam? Head to Ba Na Hills! Situated in the mountains and offers plenty of activities for visitors, you can go zip lining, explore the caves, or take a ride on the cable car. Here is what to do in Bana Hills:
Explore the Ground Area
Now, I feel that very few people talk about the base of the Ba Na Hills, which I personally loved, with statues depicting Vietnamese locals and lanterns on the same style as Hoi An.
The base is where you’ll get from the main entrance all the way to the funicular ride, and it takes about 15 minutes to get to the funicular. Make sure to take a few photos of the area, I’m sure you’ll like it. Here are some photos.
Take the Cable Car
Embarking on the cable car ride to Ba Na Hills is an experience in itself, and you’ll get incredible views of the surrounding landscapes. As you go up, you’ll be treated to panoramic vistas of the lush mountains and valleys below.
The funicular journey takes about 15 minutes one way, and truth be told I got a little scared when the wind started to blow and the cable card swung a little, but everything went well after this!
The Golden Bridge
The bridge has become the symbol of Da Nang, other than its famous Dragon Bridge, and it’s so popular than some people refer to this tour as the Golden Bridge tour.
Held by giant stone hands, this iconic bridge offers unparalleled views of the hills and a surreal walking experience. Its unique design is a must-see landmark at Ba Na Hills.
Walking across the bridge feels like stepping into a postcard, with the lush landscape sprawling beneath your feet. It’s not just a bridge but a piece of art, blending seamlessly with the natural beauty around it. What else to say – Make sure to visit Golden Bridge!
Le Jardin D’Amour Gardens and Linh Ung Pagoda
Le Jardin D’Amour is a collection of meticulously landscaped gardens, each with its own theme and beauty. Despite being many tourists there, I found the gardens to be somewhat peaceful, and making my was to the Buddha image – Linh Ung Pagoda was a nice touch.
The pagoda is known for its giant Buddha statue, which is both a spiritual symbol and a vantage point for visitors. Together, the gardens and pagoda create a peaceful retreat, reflecting the cultural and natural heritage of Vietnam.
Sun World Amusement Park and French Village
Sun World Amusement Park is a wonderland of excitement and entertainment within Ba Na Hills, featuring thrilling rides, games, and attractions suitable for all ages.
From roller coasters to fantasy shows, there’s endless fun to be had. A short stroll away, the French Village transports visitors to a bygone era with its cobblestone streets, classical architecture, and authentic European ambiance.
This charming village offers a slice of French life, complete with hotels, restaurants, and shops, making it a unique cultural experience nestled in the heart of Vietnam’s landscape.
And if it rains, you have the underground part, which is a 3-floor theme park, and you’ll have lots of fun playing around with arcade games, 4D and 5D cinemas, and seeing performance shows!
Tips for Visiting Ba Na Hills
Ba Na Hills is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Vietnam. Every year, millions of visitors come to take its cable cars, visit the wine cellar, and French village. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your visit:
First, be sure to bring light clothing and comfortable shoes. You’ll need to do a lot of walking, so you don’t want to be weighed down by heavy clothes or uncomfortable shoes.
Second, you should definitely book your ticket in advance, the amusement park and cable car rides get crowded pretty quickly. The ticket includes access to the cable car, the train ride, the Golden Bridge, the French village, and almost all of the games in the park.
Third, if you go by yourself, try to get there early – around 8am. This will help you avoid the long lines for the cable car. Finally, when possible, avoid visiting during the summer or Vietnamese national holidays if possible. These are the busiest times, and it can be difficult to enjoy all of the attractions.
By following these tips, you’re sure to have a great time at Ba Na Hills!
